The problem.
Dementia is considered the greatest global challenge for health and social care in the 21st century that we have yet to overcome. As life expectancy increases, the population over 60 is expected to double by 2050, potentially making up 21.3% of the global population. In line with this phenomenon, cases of dementia are projected to rise sharply in the next few decades, reaching 153 million by 2050.
The product.
Research shows that 4 out of 10 cases of dementia may be prevented by reducing risk factors and increasing protective factors. However, despite research establishing the potential for reducing risk, and increasing protection against dementia, only around a third, 34%, of people believe dementia may be prevented. Neurawell is a platform providing a new dimension of control over dementia prevention. Neurawell aims to empower and encourage post-retirement lifestyles for more resilient brains.
